About Wild Gourd Studio

My first introduction to gourds came when I was visiting a local art show. I saw these beautiful creations that were the color of leather and yet looked like wooden bowls.

I was hooked! Then I was exposed to the Ohio Gourd Society and my education really began. I have learned that there are no limits to what you can do when it comes to decorating gourds. To touch them is wonderful and to smell the earthy scent of gourds is enough to thrill my senses and cause my imagination to work.

I have spent many years doing art shows throughout Ohio and Indiana. My gourds have been purchased and shipped throughout the United States and many have found homes internationally. I’m thrilled to say I’ve decorated and numbered over 2500 gourds in my beautiful 20′ x 40′ studio.

The Annual Wild Gourd Studio Open House in November is one of my favorite events of the year. The studio is cleaned and decorated for the holidays, there is live music, and we have quite a party that weekend. If you are in my part of the world that weekend, please come and join the fun!
